Crispy Buffalo Tofu

A spicy, crunchy twist on classic buffalo wings - 100% plant-based!

1. Ingredients

For the Tofu:

  • 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp each garlic powder, paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegan butter
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

2. Press the Tofu

Wrap tofu in paper towels and place a heavy pan on top. Let sit for 30 minutes to remove excess water.

This step ensures maximum crispiness!

3. Coat & Cook

Cut tofu into cubes, toss with cornstarch and seasonings. Heat oil in a pan and cook until golden and crispy on all sides.

4. Add the Sauce

Whisk together hot sauce, melted vegan butter, and maple syrup. Toss with the crispy tofu until well coated.

Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with celery sticks and vegan ranch dressing.
